Hi Billy, im based down by Kinsale, i can only drive her in the dry for obvious reasons!! As a result I have left tax and insurance slide as she hasn't been driven since the "Summer"!!! I'll give you a bell, I appreciate it... thanks

 Mine is leaking, too, but whenever it rains, not just when driving. At least it's only into the front passenger footwell! :)
I had this once a few years ago and found the door liner torn and leaking. I replaced it with some polyethylene glued to the door and that solved it. This time I checked the drain holes at the bottom of the door and they aren't blocked. I couldn't go further as it's dark when I get home from work and there's no place to work except in the street!! That's stopped me from resolving the issues on my Lotus too.
Let me know how your leak is resolved.

Hi my mini was leaking water from the front window :( :( so i took out the window rubber and replaced it and it is not leaking any more 8) so for the sake of €15-20 for a new rubber think about it.

Thanks for the update, Steven. First thing I need to do is run a hose or go out in the rain to see where the water is getting in!

water can also get in through the air vents and run down into the passenger footwell ,stay away from those big puddles of water that lodge at the side of the road ,and also as the lads have said door strips/seams ,windscreen rubbers ,and also check all of the bungs in the floor under the carpets both front and rear ,i had a mini before which used to get water in the back footwell ,it was one of the bungs had come dislodged...

hope this helps

As Simon mentioned with the air vents, check for corrosion around the air vent itself where it comes through the inner wheel well behind the dash. This is a common area for minis to rust and a bugger to fix properly.

I thought all minis were supposed to leak from some where. :D

Not to hard to do just takes a bit of time and patience.
If you are getting a new rubber seal get the wider one piece one.
I got the one you had to cut and join once and had to replace it again, as i could not get the join to seal.

Whoa Tom on the wider rubber. Apparently they're a bastard for holding water and causing rust in the front scuttle.

Hello,

had a chance to take a good look yesterday with a hose etc, seems to be a rubber seal was cut and not in place correctly where the cable for the aerial is therefore water is runnning down the cable and into the car, also there are a number of holes in the engine bay (for additional cables??) that should be plugged?? Anyone know where i can get these seals or are there generic ones that will do? Once I have fixed these I will test again.

The floors also need to be cleaned out too with a wire brush, and debris removed anyone recommend a good product to use on the floors?? and where to get it from?

Thanks again for all the replies,

Mick

Those are just a push fit, and there is no real way of tightening them, the chrome ones are held in by means of an nut and from memory I think they come with a rubber washer too, they are easy to replace and not too expensive to buy, it could be a simple fix.

Somerford Mini do the single chrome washer jets for £5.88 a pair Ref No.GWW810 and the twin chrome washer jets for £8.33 a pair, Ref No.CTWJ001.

I doubt you would get any locally for less.
