86 mini

well i bought a 1986 mini at chrismas and been rooting at it since its preety mutch a sheel at the mooment and i have bought a 1275 1991 engine 4 it because the 1 in it was nackered and i thought it was a 998 but when i took it out i figered out it was a old 1275 aswell it needs to sills and rear valance and door step and rear subframe but other than that its sound ill post pics when i get a chance

wood and picket arches
cobra clublmen clasics seats
half rool cage
1275 carb
weller 5.5 by 10 inch wheels
high low suspencion
colour:dc2 white
small sound system
alluminium dash
red carpets
white headliner
cobre rear seat covers red to match the front
twin carbs

the mini has just come to a stand still have about half the prep work for paint done but doing my leaving cert so thats takeing a lot of my time and dont have any money to buy mutch for the mini deses days so i will so its not going 2 far the resteration is takeing a lot longer than i expected it to hoped to have it on thr raod by now or very near ill get pics up as soon as i can
PS: I CANT STAND SANDING ITS TO SLOW AND BOREING

Iam in the middle of the prep for the paint and all i can say is KEEP AT IT.

hi havent been posting in ages loseing intrest in the car because its going on so long
so im painting it mat black and white roof myself because dont have the money to pay some body to do it .
should have the engine back on friday got it bored to 1360 high comp pistons heavy duty bearings 40 tou skimed off the head and the head ported and polished all valves reseated and center bearing cap strap mechained in all 4 250 euro excludeing parts and also bought a hif44 carb straight swap for my twin inch1/4 su's im loooking for an old style roof rack if any 1 has 1 ill but up pics friday

Don't lose the interest! Just keep on truckin' and keep the image of your Mini being finished in your head! And for the amount of work you got done to your engine it is very cheap! Good luck and don't forget the pictures!
