Where is the best(cheapest ) to get a full roll cage?? looking to get one for my mini but dont particularly want to have to pay to ship one from England

You could give Ray Cunningham a buzz, he runs the Galway Mini Centre and also races and rallys Minis.

You could also try EARS motorsport in Mallow

If the Mini's for road use, is there a problem with having a roll cage fitted?

I thought they are fine for road use once they are bolted in and not welded in

Not trying to throw a clanger in the works but the only definite answer is to check with your insurance company. It's always better to check beforehand than to give them a reason not to cough up afterwards. They may say a cage is OK but they may also look at it as a modification.

If you are getting it from the UK try to get it posted to an address in the north and collect it. There will be a good difference in price for posting. If you are putting a cage in I would strongly advise getting the correct high density roll cage padding for it as your naked head is not designed to be bumped off steel tubing at speed

thats the whole reason for trying to source one over here to avoid the postage costs, to be honest its not very high up on my list of things to buy for my mini, got to get it back together first

There aren't any manufacturers over here , so someone has to pay the postal costs at some point.
