Mini find..

Post by just_st3v3n »

hey guys me and mickey find yet another mini lying around in a field :(
the number plate was : JBI 410.. i kno some ppl know how to look up the history by the plate number so if you are able to please do :D
the small plate on the cylinder head had 85H and then rest is bit blurry, il post pictures tomorrow along with wat we took off it..
85H means it was an 850 cc is that right???
we took the carb of which is the smallest i have ever seen  the manifold is connected to the carb and only goes down the back of the engine a small bit...
we also got most of the windows including the back ones that can be flipped open...
and a very nice centre clock with 60000 on it

any one interested in any parts let me know...

JBI is a Monaghan reg, and you are right in that the engine is an 850, was there a tax disc on the window ? might get an idea of when it was last on the road.
I don't think you will get any performance bits out of it, and the carb isn't even heavy enough to keep the garage door open, but the windows and the clock are a good find.

Mattias says that he might be interested in the engine , if it is going cheap, and if it fits on top of his roof rack, remembering that he has to remain undet the 1.49m height restriction of the ferry.

Get those pics up soon.

cool... it is actually lying in a field near enough monaghan
as for the engine mattias, im not sure whether its worth taking with... we took the rocker cover off to find alot of rust underneath.. if he wants to look at it and decides to take the engine i think he can have it for nothing, il get my friend just to confirm that with the owner of the car....
as for a tax disc there was none, we did find an insurance information sheet, insurance for the car would have been 20 pound fully comprehensive....?

heres pics of the engine plate numbers, what we took off and a good few pics from the mtm2008 also :D
