I thought I'd get the ball rolling with this one taken outside the front door this morning:

Just need to convince Majella we don't need cases of clothes as a friend in Amsterdam has e-mailed this morning to say it's 25 degrees there today!!!!!!

Great pictures Billy and Micke. Well, as you can all see from the blue sky in the IMM pic, the weather was fantastic - 28/29 degrees every day and not a cloud in the sky.

Brilliant IMM - excellent site (bit of a queue to get in on Friday, however - but that's about the only quibble), a lot of beautiful Minis, great fun with old friends and new, world record attempt on Sunday was a blast, as was the Swedish-Irish Frisbee beer can World Championship on Sunday night. I hear that Woody and 66Mini made the ferry in Holyhead this afternoon but the others missed it thanks to an impromptu shopping expedition. Tut tut!!

Haven't uploaded any pics yet but I will in the next day or so.

What a great weekend with great cars, great weather, great people and great craic.I,ve been to MITP and while it is good, there is a far greater range of cars at the IMM.The trip home was as much fun as the IMM itself with the Irish pub in Holland,a little detour to go shopping in England with a gentle drive home over the Yorkshire dales and the drive around North Wales.Another highlight was Paul Kelly giving a master class in mini mechanics in the Xpart tent.Without a doubt I will be going to more IMM,s in the future.Anyone who is into mini,s should definitely go to one of these. It,s just a really friendly place where everyone is there for the one reason.Roll on IMM 09 when the mini comes home.I did nearly a 1000 miles in the auto estate and no major problems,I should have taken account of the fuel consumption or maybe it,s better I did,nt,it,s thirsty work with a fully loaded estate.

Yes it was a great IMM and the whole family really enjoyed the event. I will be swapping the gay suitcase for a Mini next year. It was great to see so many Irish Minis well done to the lads who drive all the way there and back. I would have loved to have driven myself but Sean would have beaten me up if I had tried. I think we used every public transport system to get there except the boat.

Whatever you say, boss

Anyway, here's some photos of the World Record Attempt convoy. Apparently the record was achieved with 862 Minis in convoy but the organisers are waiting on Guinness to confirm the record.

Our campsite was right beside the track so we had a great view as the cars were lining up. The Minis set off in convoy to Lelystad and doubled back which made for some great photos.
