The Midas Gold is the Metro based sibling of the Marcos, both having been built by D&H Fiberglass Techniques Ltd. in the 1980's. The Bronze is Mini based and more angular, the Gold more curvey, rectangular headlights on the Bronze, round on the Gold.

Mick O'Shea Jr. had a maroon coloured Midas when he was in the Club, he even drove it to Salou in Spain for the IMM in 2005.

Now that I see the photos I know the type of car you mean.
There was a gold/bronze one parked in the garage area of a local motorsport preparations company.

You might want to check with the insurance companies first tbh, most of them are Engilsh imports and are on a Q plate, they are not a classic car and therefore would be liable to higher duty, I dont know if they are on the Customs "Exotics" list or not. You would want to check what it is exactly called on the log book and then ask around, be prepared for the "never heard of it" response.
