MTM 2008 Closing Date for Entries

Just a reminder that the closing date for MTM entries is Friday April 11th, not too long away now.

As both TMG and I will be travelling to the IMM in Holland in early May and need to be getting cars ready for that big trip, we just won't be able to accept late entries this year. Last year we had about 15 late entries which were of course welcome, but because IMM and MTM are so close this year, we will have to return any late entries.

Neil and I did a recce last Thurday from Malin to the midpoint. From Neil's local knowledge, we have tracked down some gorgeous roads which no MTM in the past has passed through.

On Tuesday, we're off doing another recce with another route and refreshment stop to check out.

The plan is to get the convoy down to Mizen earlier this year so there'll be no 5-course meal in Mallow this year though don't worry, ye won't starve!

What do you mean by "Last chance to take part in an MTM". Sure "32-County" and "Coastal Lighthouse Runs" are MTM's via a different route. After all "Mizen Head Irish Lights Signal Station" is at Ireland's most Southwesterly Point and Malin head woudn't be too much of a detour from the nearest lighthouse.

What would an MTM be without Malin or Mizen,I tell ye what POINTLESS,thats what and all the time we were being ripped off.It,s 10 years on the go and apart from the stupid years it will always have Malin and Mizen in it when its being run by those that care.

The MTM2008 Closing date of April 11th has come and gone. Phew!

The total entry is 45 Minis which is a nice respectable turnout. As I mentioned in the first post, Neil and I are both travelling to the IMM in Holland which is just 3 weeks away and we really want to get the routebooks, finishers awards, and other final details sorted before we head off. So if the price for that is a reduced number of cars for 2008, we'll live with that. It will still be a great event.

Thanks to all those who have entered. Now it's back to drawing tulip diagrams for the routebook.
