Only gorgeous BUT.........it wouldn't be licensed or insured for hire work in the Republic. I know cos I've been dealing with the Taxi Regulator recently about similar firms. Nothing against the company here but there is a problem concerning certain companies in NI supplying cars down here for weddings illegally. Basically taxis/hackneys/limos operating here must be licensed and insured and if there isn't a yellow licence disc on the front windscreen, it ain't legal!

That's such a shame that there isn't one in the republic :(

My fiancee has (surprisingly!) agreed that we could have a mini limo for our wedding :D Trouble is I've been googling and can't find anyone that does it in the republic

According to the Taxi Regulator regs, if someone here had one, it would have to have 3 or more doors and unless it's over 30 years old, it would have to have a minimum engine size of 1.9 litres.

So....... if anyone has 2 pre-78 Minis, a couple of girders, some sheet metal, and some spare glass, off you go! You'd definitely need more than an 850 to drag it along though.

lol Billy - I reckon that's the idea scuppered so!

mini_sprite94, I would love to use my mini for the day, but I don't think herself would agree. Given it's so small I'd say there'd be complaints about getting the wedding dress in and so on. I'll try my best to convince her tho :P Btw did u post pics on MR before of your wedding day? If that was u fair play 8)

So it's either that or go for another classic - we'll see. Thanx for the replies chaps :)

Get a smaller dress tbh.

Another one of our members used his Mini as a wedding car. The front passenger seat was removed to make access/dress issues easier.

When my brother got married, they used his Cooper RSP as the bridal car with the passenger seat removed, and a Wolseley Hornet for the bridesmaids. The Hornet belonged to Paul O'Connell, a former member from Cork. It was a mad thing with a 1340 engine. I had the loan of it for the weekend and I couldn't believe the overtaking I was able to do on the road between Ennis and Ennistymon. It was mental. I think Paul has sold it but it was a gas machine to go.

if you remove the seat F@ces just make sure there aint no snags exposed to catch the dress, oh your life wouldnt be worth livin'!

I'm sure it'd not be too hard to get a few minis
