Does anyone know how many RSP,s were sold in this country when they were first put on sale or were this info can be got.I was just wondering as I got ready to chop the Apanel off mine last night.I,m thinking of doing MTM08 in it so I had better start getting ready. And no comments about getting ready early,I, ll still be putting it back together the night before.

They went on sale in 1990 if I remember correctly and would guess that maybe 10 or 15 came in here. Rover were only selling about 80 Minis here a year back then.

You could try the RSP register for more info:

Thanks Dave, I,ll try them because I know of only one other Irish one and it,s a long time since that saw the road and it will be a long time before it sees it again.

My brother had one years ago. It was black with white roof and a 91C reg. It belonged to Kevin Ring before that. Don't know where it is now.

RSP,s had a HIF44 carb and not a sign of an ECU to be seen anywhere as opposed to the SPI which had a magic box of fairies to make it go.So no stopping for me when I hit a pot hole and resetting the ECU.Modern technology bah humbug.
