I was doing a wedding today in Ballyclough, North Cork today and walking up the main street I spotted a very shabby late-70s brown Mini at the side of a house. Rang the doorbell but was told it wasn't for sale. Then when I was in the pub having a coffee I got chatting to someone there who told me he had 2 Minis and we then went back to his place to see his red/white 82 1-litre. There's plenty of Minis out there, you just need to ask around.

Enquired about that brown one years ago. A Chinese woman who was living there wouldn't sell it to me as she said that she didnt want to upset the Feng Shui of the house, no joke.

The two T handles and the MB split rims would suggest that that is a racey little thing. 8)

A funny thing happened to me on the way to work this morning. I was stopped at a set of lights on the inside of a jeep turning right. The driver motioned me to wind down my window. "What type of car is that" shw enquired. "A Mini", I replied.
"Oh an old Mini, its lovely" she said and turned right. She looked about 24 yrs old, so has it gotten to the stage that the youth of today only recognise the Bini as the Mini ?

Hmmm......a 24 year old guy would recognize it though  A lot of girls in college with me admire my car but when I walk past them I hear the conversations .....

Girl1: What is it ?

Girl2: I think its a Fiat !

Girl3: Awwwww.....its sooooo cute.
And I said, Officer, I didn't want to be drunk in public...I wanna be drunk in the bar. Now last time I checked it was still legal to be drunk in the bar. They threw me into public...arrest them!

Did the metallic orange Mini have a set of black 4 spoke revolutions? If so it's the same one I see around Dun Laoghaire fairly often

Yeah Billy,
They really love the car......pity the squishy organic bit behind the wheel lets it down so often though

It used to belong to Arron Burcheal from the South East Club and he sold it to a guy called Colm from out that side of Dublin.Last time I saw it was on MTM 06 which really wasn,t an MTM as it had neither a Mizen or Malin in the route so maybe it should have been called NMTM(Not Mizen to Malin)or CACK which is what it was. :D.It,s a MKIII and it was so noisy that he was wearing ear defenders for the whole trip.Lovely looking car.I tried to get some pictures from MR but I can,t find them.

The black mini 30 in Brookwood is mine! The red one is my neighbour's -- he's going to do it up.

Hope mini thieves don't descend on the road now that they know we're here!

Its a very clean car! Is it a original irish car?

The thieves would need a trailer for the other two by the look of it

the yellow one has a huge hole in the sill :(
