The old bushes that I removed had a metal sleeve through them where as the new ones are just plastic,is there any difference or should the new ones have had a sleeve.

Well tbh KMG the ones I got for Merlin was the same but I measured the old steel ones and they where well with in the tolerances so I used them I reckoned the plastic ting-me-bobs (the technical name) where just to keep the bush in shape.
Regards,
Paul.
P.S. according to the BMC manual I have + 6 tho is the tolerance.

Do you mean the entire new bush is plastic or the new sleve is plastic in rubber.

I just got Poly bushes for my lower arms and they had metal inserts. Id imagine what Merlin said about them being crushed otherwise to be true.
