Reasons for the enigine to chug

On the way home from the National Mini Day back to Dublin, she chugged half the way home. Not sure if it was the rain but when it was dry an hour after, she chugged when she was in 3rd and 4th. Even in 4th when i got to 60km/ph or over it felt like she was pulling/fighting. It wasn't until we got onto the M6 that i checked the engine, i checked the sparks, made sure they were on right. After that the chugging stopped.
Could this have been the problem???
Anyway twas a great day...nice to meet everyone
Loved that '79 Clubman Estate....beautiful(original paintwork)

Hi Brian
I'm sure he is up to his eyes, but you could send your car to Paul in Minifix to get it's work done. He was a great help to me with assessing what was wrong with my old mini, and he did a fab job on the doors of my current one!
