Every year the club presents the Jack Daniels Memorial Trophy in memory of the engineer Jack Daniels who worked beside Alec Issigonis in designing the Mini. His family donated the trophy to the club some years ago and traditionally it is presented to a club member who has made an impact to the club during the year. It could be for finishing a restoration, helping organise an event, helping out other Mini owners etc.
The winner nominated this year is Ben Pearson and the Jack Daniels Memorial Trophy was presented to Ben by IMOC Club President Martin Murphy at the Clubs AGM in the Maldron Hotel in Portlaoise earlier today. Ben is a long standing member of the IMOC, is also the current Eastern Representative for the Club and together with his wife Ruby are behind & organise the majority of the club runs and shows we attend in the Eastern region.
Congratulations Ben and well deserved!
