Hi all,
Dont know if any of ye remember me. My dad was Pat Strogen from Mayo and he owned the orange 1980 mini with Fido the 7up man on the side . Some of you attended his funeral in 2009 and memorial run in 2010.
Well as the mini was left to me, it pains me to say that I have just abandoned it since then and feel so guilty for the state that it's in right now.
BUT....
As of last night the restoration of Fido has begun. I've posted the pics of the condition it's currently in. Shield your eyes the roof is nearly non existent but so far it's looking like that's the only major problem....so far. Even the engine is turning over!
I am starting from scratch with this car now. Everything will be stripped and looked over and anything needed replacing will be. If anyone has any advice for me or things I should look for please dont hesitate to contact me.
Hi Lauren, Looks like the car has been sitting outside for a while but hopefully the damage is only on the surface . Good to see being put back in order
