Long time IMOC Club Member Dick Mason from Tralee sadly passed away today. A mechanic by trade, he was a great man for Minis and drove his own mid 60s Mini solo all the way to Longbridge in the UK not all that long ago for a big Mini event there.
Reposing at Gleasures Funeral Home Tralee 2pm to 4pm this Saturday 14th.
May he rest in peace

Dick was one of the earliest members of the Southern Region when we set it up in the late 90s. His maroon Mk1 was a regular sight at IMOC events including the very first MTM back in '99. I'll never forget chasing behind Dick and Anne to catch a ferry in Holyhead after the IMM in Birmingham. Flat out on the A55 and we made it with minutes to spare. Dick was a quiet man but always had a great smile on his face. Ill health meant that he hadn't been active in recent years and it was a shock to hear the news last night. My sympathies to Anne and all the family.

My sympathies all the family. He was a nice man, I had a lot of time for him.
Thanks
