solenoid wiring

Post by johnnyj »

Hi does anyone have a picture of the wiring on the solenoid switch. The car is a 1979 mini 1000 and the previous owner was messing around with it because he couldn't get it to earth properly and im not all that sure of whats what on it or if anything is missing from the wiring. Cheers.
John.

Large black wire from starter motor goes to large nut on its own.
Large black wire from battery goes to large nut with spade terminals below.
All brown wires also connect to this nut and spades.
White and red wire goes to spade on the side.

If there are two spades on opposite sides the larger one is unused. ( used with ballast coils)
