She was advertised on another forum looking very sorry for herself all the way over in Italy, I live in Ireland [emoji41] after a lot of messaging paypalling bank transfers WhatsApp and Facebook messages a plan was put into place, thanks to a good guy she had a trip across Europe , Italy Switzerland Holland France Uk and Ireland she finally arrived with me last a couple months ago , it’s very solid being undersealed from the factory but unfortunately the roof skin needs replacing due to a purgalor roof falling on her during her 20 odd years in storage, no major plans as of yet I’d say convert to dry suspension, cooper brakes and a roof skin and take from there [emoji41]

FYI, the Mini Cooper Register's Innocenti guru is a guy called Foster Charlton. I'm sure he could point you in the direction of all the unique Innocent bits you'll be looking for.

It’s a steering lock on the column, I’ll make a burst into it when the weather changes, the car is pretty much complete as is with minimal rust the worst of it being the roof, I bought a few other bits for it from the same guy while I was at it, I’ll most likely convert it to dry suspension and I’m currently looking for a set of cooper front brakes

Quick trip up north this morning and the hoarding continues

My wheels and spare clocks have finally arrived from Slovenia after a short stay in Germany


I’m also awaiting more bits from the uk, it’s coming together nicely

7.5” brake kit purchased too they’ll be refurbished with new bearings, ball joints etc also blasted and painted, pads are M1144 and fairly new as are the braided hoses

Photos of the roof, I’m trying to work out if feasible to repair or replace, the rest of it is so original with just age related marks, I love the Patina of the whole thing as is

Mirrors and brackets, I’ve since sold the chrome, Im going to use satin instead, I can also supply these brackets in chrome or satin finish

As well as holes the roof has a lot of dents. I don't know how good your bodywork skills are but you will pay a lot in labour to get that looking right when its freshly sprayed. I know the roof panel is expensive but I think it would be worth the investment. The other option I have seen done is to bond a fiberglass roof over the one there.

Roof finally arrived from Italy, couple of little bumps along the way but the body man can sir them, I’m happy with its condition for a 40 plus year old skin and also purchased a rear mount Lucas reverse lamp
