Ah I was thinking it was too good to be true. Nah the set up wasn't cheap. Thought it would have been handy slip in job but oh well. With all the money spent on bodywork and everything else I guess I'll have to put up with the 998cc for awhile.

are you planning on having the car as a daily?
give carole nash a call, they sorted me out with a vintage policy without having a policy on another car, limited to 4000 mile but im only back in the country for 4 weeks a year!

Oooh interesting. Nah I wouldn't be using it as a daily driver. I'll definitely be giving them a call. How do they no how many miles you've done ? Do they put a box in your car?

Not a lot done with the mini. I'm waiting on the door steps to arrive so I can crack on with the welding. They're arriving on Wednesday and it'll be full steam ahead then. By the end of the week I'm hoping to have the door steps in, the other quarter repair and the outer sill. Bit optimistic but hopefully. Then the dreaded front has to go on, I have so many questions about putting on the front.
Got a delivery from minisport today. Nice way of spending over 500 pound. However they forgot to send a few bits that I ordered so I best get onto them, anyone ever have this happen to them ? I also ordered two sets of bump bushing for the front subframe by mistake so if anyone needs a set don't bother ordering them you can have my set.
Got the door steps in the delivery so them, the quarter repair and sill were top of my priorities for this week.
Ended up getting in both door steps and the quarter repair so that just leaves the outer sill to go on.....apart front the whole front that is
got the sill on today. all id looking good. Unfortunately my iphone decided it had enough of taking pics of the mini and gave up. so that'll be out of action for a couple days. No money to buy a new phone either every penny I have is going into the mini so lets hope it isnt a dear fix.
So it has come to the time where I need some serious help. I'm going to start putting on the front between this week and next week hopefully. However from what I hear if done wrong the whole car will look off.
Here is the list of panels to go on:
-Upper dash rail
-scuttle
- both inner scuttles or closing panels
- both A panels
- both wings
- front panel
Can anyone tell me what order I need to put them on in?
I'm using all genuine panels but will i still have to make modifications or should they all just line up?
Does anyone fancy coming down to me and helping a poor soul out ? Forms of payment can be arranged
Basically anyone who has done this job before I would REALLY appreciate any views or any help you can give.

Thanks for your reply. I have a few updates I must post them some of the days. That's the plan anyway hoping to do mtm next year and few other shows. I'm sure we'll bump into each other along the travels
As you can see I've replaced the scuttle and inner scuttles
I also got a new door and new rear subframe
I installed the rear and front subframe today. Happy how the rear turned out. Mounts I had to replace and done a homemade Job on fix perfectly. I also changed the bumpstops after I took this pic.
Hole car is now poly-bushed. Gonna stick the engine back in and get it rolling again by the end of next week.
I also have a new arrival I'm collecting on Saturday. Stay tuned to see what it is. Big plans for it ly ahead

Thanks for the reply Woody. im guessing there will be fun bending those ? I'd say they could kink easily, any tips on that?
Also any idea which ones are missing ? I have the ones that connect to the brake master cyclinder.
There is a proper pipe bending tool that does the job perfectly and is worth sourcing if you can. Otherwise you could use some large sockets as dies to create the radius and by large I mean inch and a half plus you want to avoid tight bends as the pipe will link easily and then you are in trouble.
Bottom arm bush are simple two part push fit.
A fully carbon fiber Mini Marcos shell weighs just 7.25kg.
Looks like your missing the pipe between the differential unit and the front subframe.
Make sure you roll the coils out dead straight before shaping them

Today I managed to get the radius arms in with new hi-lows, cones and shocks. I also swapped the bushes on the front lower arms. As you can see some things need a lick of paint to make them look nice but everything works which is the main thing.
Next job is to get the doors on, steering working, wheels on and engine in. Then she's off to body work for the front and paint.
Well I've been out in the shed since about 9 this morning to get this engine in place. Dad was coming in the door from last nights work but I managed to drag him out for awhile. She isn't looking to neat at the moment but nothing a bit of elbow grease and shiny bits won't fix. The paint dribbled a bit onto the gear box but I'll clean that up.
