Hi all,
Don't know if any of you remember me, I'm Patrick Strogens daughter, the owner of Fido the orange mini!
I am in the middle of organising a very large car run in mayo for some time in September. I remember that alot of you came to my father's funeral and also the memorial run that was organised for him a few years back.
The run is going to be all cars as he was passionate about many different types but I want to focus on the mini side of it. It is going to be a huge event as just in the last hour I have had 200 people sign up for it. There will be a big raffle, prizes for different categories of cars, and a large barbecue with music.
It is in the early stages of planning right now but it would be great if some of you nearby would like to come along.
I will post details as they are decided!

Joe Conboy from Sligo here . Best of luck with organizing the run / event and bringing in the Mini side of things . Do u have a date in mind as we (Irish Mini Owners Club ) have provisionally set 8th/9th September for our Mizen to Malin run .

Finally decided to fully organise this car run, it is set for the 30th September.
The car run will meet and set off from Ballina at approx 11.30am. Going to have a proper memorial for dad
It will then proceed on to Westport House for the Show & Shine where there will be a great day set up for all the family. There will be a large range of cars attending from jap, euro to classic and minis. There will be prizes in each category.
If anyone is around that weekend and would like to attend please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. It is a strictly non-profit event with all proceeds going to Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland, a cancer charity of which I am a patron.
