Who are you insuring your mini with?

Post by Wills21 »

Having some trouble getting my mini insured, this is the reply I got from companies I've tried

Campion - won't insure modified cars

Carolenash - only third party unless it's garaged

First Ireland (aig) - won't insure modified cars

Iv my brothers 1984 1380 insured with axa as an everyday car and I've a classic policy with them for my vtec clubman :) cheap as chips , and all down as 1,6 16valve dohc vtec mini clubman, :)
If it's bigger than a mini it's not a mini

Also worth trying autoline up north. They have a good attitude to classics and we're willing to include a 99 Audi S8 on mine two years ago.

axa, and yes, they are quite cheap - its down as a second car, limited mileage but full comprehensive, step back windscreen & recovery etc.

I take it that the imoc don't have a deal with any insurers like some other car clubs around the country?

Hi, I've been with these guy's for about 5/6 years. I have 5000 miles per car on the policy. This year I have only insured one car with them, my 77 Clubman estate. The renewal last month was €180. They will not insure any car under 30 years and only except full payment. And with most classic car policies you are required to have a every day car on the road.
