Intermittent Electrical problem ...
Hi. I have an intermittent electrical glitch on my 1988 Mini City 1000 Automatic. I'm losing indicators & brake lights every now and then; the giages read max as well. They always come back to normal after a while and I have not changed the fuses. Anyone any ideas?
Cheers
Peter

Make sure you clean the fuse connections on all the spades on the fuse box. I have had this nightmare recently and thanks to woody got this solved.
as the fuse boxes rust at the back i found the best thing was to bypass them using in-line fuses. Indicator circuit has one in the fuse box (second one down)then another inline fuse behind the airbox.
The circuit below (third one down in fuse box) is for the break lights and rear windscreen heater. This was the fault on mine as it also stops the indicators working !!
thanks to woody my nightmares are over and i get some sleep at night !
