It kills me to even admit i own a bini i must have bumped my head last week when i bought it and hears why
electric nightmare
cooling dan turns on after i have turned the engine off(worked fine a couple of days ago)
Speedo cluster stays illuminated when everything is off and car is locked
handbreak light stays on
abs light on
airbag light on
clock works sometimes
Taco worked only when i droped the handbreak (since fixed dont no how was pulling fuses and messing with earths )
Taco doesnt light up
there is more ill have to check agen tomorrow

Anyone got any ideas befor crack up its a 2001 cooper

The fan turning on after the ignition is turned off is normal on a car if the engine is hot or "thinks" its hot.You have a wide range of issues there and the question is did it all happen at once or over a period. Have you or previous owners altered the wiring( spots, sterio, etc) or is there any damage to the loom. If it all came at once I would think it is an earthing issue.

Cant get any info from previous owner but some muppet had some extra wires for whatever resion i removed them ant bits and pieces worked ....findind all the eartging points i imagine will be tricky
