Mini value

Hello, I'm looking for some help to see how much my mini is worth. I've got a friend interested in buying it off me, but between the two of us we don't know what it's worth. It's a march 1986 registered 1.0 l, about 80000 on it. Has been garaged for 16 years and is in need of some work. Anyone that can help??

Is there much rust? Is the engine turning over

List the work you it needs and take some more pictures (right way up would help) of areas like engine bay,spare wheel well, sills , door bottoms and the floor under the carpets. These pictures will give a good indication of the body condition and the true value of the car as its body repairs that tend to cost more than mechanical repairs on a mini.
When you say it has been garaged for 16 years do you mean it has been off the road for that time or used reguraly and garaged overnight.
The more information you give the better it will be valued.
If you still have the original log book did the first owner live in Laytown?
