Can anyone tell me (or direct to where I can get info) how to clean corrosion, or whatever it is, of my wheels?

You are going to have to polish those rims as there is corrosion on the aluminium under the lacquer.Youtube has loads of videos of how to polish wheel rims or get them professionally refurbished.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

As said there is no way to clean the corrosion you need to strip the clear coat off and re polish it can be done at a cost of around 50 per wheel or you could sand the clear coat off with 600 grit paper then move to 800 1000 1200 1500 and finaly 2000 then polish with meguiars nxt metal polish its a lot of work but works great
