Engine rebuild. Out for tender!!

Post by Smiley »

Hey guys and girls!

I'm having a nightmare with my recently purchased Mini, since taking ownership of the car, a only few months ago, the head gasket gave way almost immediately and now more recently I suspect piston damage or piston ring failure.

My question is, who is known for their superior engine building skills on this wee island of ours?! Is there anyone worth recommending? I'm half tempted to give it a go myself, bar all the machining stuff, that will be done at an engineering firm, but the more I think about it, I just want it done quickly and professionally so i can start enjoying the car over the summer months! Is there anyone on the site that specializes in engine rebuilding?!

Let me know the craic and any recommendations are welcome!

Thanks!

Smiley!

Cheers Mr.Marcos!

The engine had been built by Mr. Cunningham many moons ago, as far as I know. I'll give him a call.

Any contact details for Mervyn?

Mervin's details, remember you'll have to add the UK dialing code.
