One of my minis has been layed up for a while and battery went dead. When i put new battery in the srs light is now on constantly. Is there anyway to get it to go off without having to pay someone to plug in the computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,
Diarmuid

Sometimes if you clean the plugs on the seatbelt tensioners in the rear pockets can clear a fault.

Only some diagnostic readers will do the SRS system. Call james in Minifix he may have the reader. I know Ryans in Blanchardstown do it and you could try the old Rover garage in Dundalk.

I'd you check all the fuses first?

SRS is a stand alone system with its own loom feed from one fuse. If the lights on fuse should be ok.

Thanks so much for the guidance. Its really appreciated.

So i went into martins rover garage in dundalk. He has all equipment spi and mpi cars. We plugged it in and it wouldnt talk to the control unit. So I disconnected the battery pulled the bulb, put it back in and now for some reason the computer is now talking to the control unit and the light is going off and on as its meant to....

I dont know what i did but it worked..
hmmmmm :)

Interesting .
I must start a technical thread " Tips for SRS system"
Did you put the bulb in before or after connecting the battery?
