how do i remove this???

thanks for taking the time to read this.
seems stuck on so stripped the rest of the engine away now when i try remove it the crank turns.
its wrecking my head at this stage.
i have no real need to get it off the engine was never intended for use just stripping down for my own enjoyment... not enjoying it anymore though!
have drowned it in WD40 for days and no luck so got a blowtorch and still no luck... its getting to be a case of i dont have a hammer big enough

on a side note couldn't get the spanner or socket to hold it either.
any help appreciated.

use a bit of wood between the crank and the block to stop the crank turning.

getting the crank steady is fine i just cant get the spanner or socket to hold the nut.
do i need a special tool or is it just a tricky job??

Get yourself a six point spanner that fits it. Grind one side of the ring flat to allow the most grip on the nut. An open or adjustable will just ring that even more. Even consider a bearing puller and a flat piece of metal to hold spanner in place until the initial torque is broken.

If it's badly seized good old cowboy way was to use hammer and chisel. The nut will be a bin job after it.

Make sure the washer is flattened completely and get the correct sized socket with an airgun if you can!
