Good Morning All,

just trying to get the car ready for IMM (running out of time), I'm putting in a dash I got last year at the camping weekend, just need some advise.
1. can I unplug the speedo - fuel /temp clocks to clean / spray the bottom dash rail.
2. do I need to cut the plastic back on the clocks at the indicators so that the dash will sit flush.
3. I also have clocks from a European car with the speedo in KPH, would there be issues with NCT etc. changing to this as it would the "mileage"

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Cheers
Darren

Hi Darren,

Yeah there is no problem in unplugging anything to clean the bottom dash rail. If you are unsure where to put stuff back just label everything to what it was plugged to and you can be sure everything is back where it goes. Even take a picture can help in putting it back in.
I had to trim the two pieces at the indicator so it would fit with my new dash other wise it would not sit flush. Used a Hoover when I was cutting the plastic so no little bits and pieces got stuck anywhere they should'nt.
I am'nt sure about the Nct though and would you have any issues with it when you go the change it next year. I would just make sure if you do decide to chage the clocks you know what car they came out of ie if it was on 10's 12's as your final drive in your engine may mean that different clocks might not be accurat as the ones in the car now.

Hi Stuart.

Thanks for that reply, I've been away all day since posting that question, just home now, we try to fit tomorrow , fingers crossed I don't make a mess, might leave the MPH clocks in for now, I've no idea what the other one came out of. Thanks again

Darren
