Re: Clubman shell rebuild for vtec
Loving the build.
I keep putting mine on the long finger.
I'v to pick up a boot-lid over the weekend and he's throwing in a few other bits including window rubbers.
He's claiming there in good condition and if they are your more then welcome to have them at a nominal price as iv only replaced mine a few months ago.
Theres what looks like "door moulding outer with seal" as-well http://www.minispares.com/product/Class ... 0to%20shop
I'V no use for them either so if there in decent condition, and you can use them, ill throw them in for beans as-well.
*Front and rear window rubbers only.

Re: Clubman shell rebuild for vtec
Sooooo finally my bro is finished his few projects he's been doing! He full rebuilt a 1981 mini Mayfair from being a wreck to getting it to bare metal to painted and put back together and getting it running and driving in 5 weeks doing shirt nights, he's unreal! Here's few pics
After scraping the paint off that was falling off from bad re spray
Engine cleaned up and painted
Finished
So tonight we got a start on welding the bootfloor on my clubby
Valance going on
Pot floor all welded needs tidying and sealing and paint
Little hole will be cut , welded, sealed tomoro
Then we can get a start on the quarter panels and A panel on driver side! Then fit doors and get it primed woooo getting yet finally
Will update tomoro hopefully

Re: Clubman shell rebuild for vtec
So! I got my roof section I needed was a lot of work cutting it out and the cutting it out of my clubby and fitting it to it!!! All welding is done on the car and we are now at the stage of sanding everything and fibreglass ing and filling little dents as it's going to be a show finish paint job my brother wants to do so there's going to be a lot of sanding priming sanding priming :/ he says it will be primed at least 2 to 3 times to get it the way his mini is! And his is really clean so here's some pics
Everything lines up perfect! Door gap is rediculously good and the windscreen fits with ease so my brother done a smashing job at repairing the car and it's very strong also extra plates welded in around the vents as they're not needed so more strength added more pics to come tomoro gotta grind off all paint that's left , roof and front end then inside the car and then it's getting fully primed!!! I'm very happy with the progress of it all the car shud be panted in 2/3 weeks then will be put together

Good work. Serious cut and shut job there. You could use the spare front for mocking up the engine and subframe

Re: Clubman shell rebuild for vtec
Nearly primer time
Big plates welded in for subframe keep it stiff
Tomoro will be stripping the rest of paint that's left on anything! Doors/roof/front/boot! Then seam sealer and 1st stage of priming
