1969 Mini Clubman GT

Hi All,
Im back on the mini scene after 10 yrs or more, back then I built a 1979 Zeemax mini for my first car and still have it but is in some disrepair now. Im a small bit older and wiser now and have gone for more of the classic look. Below are some pics of my latest project a 1969 full rally spec Clubman GT which I bought a few months ago in Ireland the car was built in the UK in 2011 and I am now freshening it up and building a new engine for it. The car will be used as both road car and for rally events.

Subframe Removed, Cleaned up and painted.


Setting the ball joints.




Upper,lower arms and subframe mounts cleaned up and painted.

Brakes and Shocks installed


Grille,Arches,Bumper and Mirrors sprayed to match roof and also bonnet grilles and lower grills.

Cheers Steve maybe next year for the other one the shell isn't the best a ZCars R1 conversion would suit it hahaha! What are you rolling at the moment?

Love the black roof, and my favourite colour in the Clubman. Very smart looking car on the outside and tidy job so far.

Still have the yellow one but it's been parked up in the folks garage the last few years. Have a couple of other non mini projects to finish first and hopefully start a full strip down next summer and do her properly this time. Sid sold his a while ago, couldn't get the cash together quick enough to buy it unfortunately. You still of gallivanting around Europe?

Oh yes you should its a great hobby keeps me out of the pub hahaha! Sids was very nice indeed 1430cc wasn't it? Yep i am indeed but based in Germany at the moment where you these days?
