Speaking of Marcos, TMG I hear there is a very nice one making an appearance in Kenmare belonging to an individual from the East Coast..... supposed to be well worth a look.

I was in contact with the organisers today and I will be sending out an email to all the owners of the cars tomorrow.There is a slight change in the tickets though as the ones we have been allocated are for the Thursday evening show which is the one the press will be at.As soon as I get the tickets I will post them out to the lucky 19. :mrgreen:

Should be good craic on the Thursday night if there's 38 of us there.

The VIP show starts at 7.30pm that evening but the show starts at 5pm. Does that mean we've got to have the Minis in place by then?

I am still waiting for the details to be sent on to me.As soon as I get it I will forward it on to the 19 members but my understanding is that the cars have to be there early on Thursday evening.

Having had further contact with the organisers here are the details.All cars must be on site no later than 12 noon on Thursday the 3rd of December and must be removed after the last show on Sunday night which will be approx. 10pm.A set of keys should be left in with the organisers for security reasons but don't worry,all of the exotic car owners will be doing the same so the keys will be in good company.The free tickets are in the post to me and as soon as I get them I will be posting them to all the members.I will send a detailed email to everyone over the weekend so if anyone thinks they cannot make it on site at these times please let me know asap to arrange for others to take their place.

Aidan, any word on what time the place opens at on Thursday? or Wednesday night?

For anyone wishing to do so,cars can be left at the venue on Wednesday evening.Also the gates for the show do not open until 5 on thursday so while 12 is preferable there is a little room to manoeuvre. :D

Aidan,

I can understand that you are probably working to guidelines with the Top Gear organisers but could you clarify what the proceedures (times/what entrance/ etc etc) are for getting our Minis into the RDS please?
I've a busy week ahead but once I know the logistics for Thursday then I can work around that.

The talk is there is going to be another strike next Thursday. Great stuff. The government will save another 100M in wages, the shops will do great business, and there'll be no problem taking Hugh out of school to see Top Gear Live.

I am still waiting for the tickets to arrive which were posted last week but my understanding is that the tickets are for the 7.30pm show on Thursday evening.Doors will open at 5 so that will give people 2.5 hours to look around the exhibition area before going to the show.I was going to send out an email this weekend to all concerned but as the tickets have not arrived and there is information in them I need I will have to wait.Getting tickets to people next week will be tricky but I will work something out.I understand you have things to arrange Tony so I will ring tomorrow and post up details asap.
