Problem solved. Was the live wire going to the ecu was damaged and was hitting off the body. But with all minis it's never that easy. On the way home the clutch went. Ffs patients running thin

Well at least that's one problem solved. Clutch ain't that expensive.
As in one usually just needs the clutch plate.

If you get a clutch kit make sure the pressure plate is identical as there are some for non injected engines that will upset the timming.

Wasn't my clutch after thank god. The fluid had gone low on my slave cylinder and couldn't get it into gear. Sorted now and flying again for another day. Well as a mini owner you can't say you dont learn new stuff everyday about your car

Haha, typical mini issues! What's next? I think it's problems like this that make mini ownership so expensive. Something goes wrong and I just replace the whole unit, easy! Then I realise it wasn't that all along and something else needs replacing. Joy!

If the fluid was low it must have a leak, pull back the dust cover on the slave cyclinder and see is it wet
