get yourself a 8'' by 4'' sheet of mild steel (0.8mm - 1.0 mm) , will save you buying lots and lots of panels...

its gonna be sitting on its knees, banded steelies, black, original interior maybe with subtle buckets and a cage. and hopefully in the long run a turbo engine slotted in!!!!

cut away all the rot around the p/s headlight so i could replace it with nice neww shiny steel

the drivers door wasnt in good shape around the lower frame so welded in a few new patchs


now ya cant even see the filler(until it plops off when im drivin down the road!!!!

btw does anybody know what this is... it was just screwed to the inside of the wing, not connected to anything

Looks very like an anti run-on valve as fitted to RSP,same engine as well.

i'll find out the number on it tomorrow simon, just have the garage locked up...

today doofy, another paul, and meself did a few bits but i ran out of welding gas... so we decided to whip the engine out
and started rebuilding the head

might be able to get you a metro shell for nothing. shell isnt salvageable but still has all interior windows etc...

Paul.... Aidans right, Its an anti run on valve. Closed when it has a 12v supply and open when supply cut. Wire it into an ignition live and pipe it into the air vacume supply for the servo and when you turn off the key the engine cuts out rather than run on. Hey presto.

You should say your hub caps that I robbed from you of the Metro . Lets just say I slpped, the hub caps fell out of my hands and somehow landed under the back tyres of a 94 Starlet but things get weirder....... all of a sudden the handbrake lifted and the Starlet started going around in circles? How mad is that? Sally gap must be haunted or something
