general wisdom seems to be to keep it unmodified as the NCT emissions standard is very high the later the car is.

having said that i cant imagine major kit suppliers selling stuff that will fail the car on MOT/NCT would seem self defeating?
in this case i'm sure paul will sort it out!

Keith, did you get this sorted? I have the Mpi in for an NCT this afternoon and it had failed for emissions with the previous owner.

Billy, i just spoke to Karl again a few mins ago, seemingly the car still failed the nct, in spite of various re-builds, new cat, injectors, lambda sensor, re-setting the fuel pressure etc.
This car is a UK import and its never had an NCT although presumably it had an MOT (!)
It has a some kind of performance kit which includes roller 1.5:1 rockers, air-filter and fuel pressure regulator and the divil knows what else. it certainly goes really well, both in a straight line and round the twisty bits.

he's going to try that "Diptane" stuff.

failing that, i suggested replacing the rockers back to standard and trying again.

in your case with an unmolested engine you should breeze the thing. good luck.

Needn't have worried. It failed for a brake and high lights but the emissions were miniscule.
