Still am not sure if it's the ecu, not many people think it will be, the most popular thing that people keep telling mt is that there is a wire that has come loose and it's staring me in the face but I will leave for BERT to look which hopefully will be before the dinner on Sunday!

I spoke to Bert on the day of the run about this and he said this type of thing is
known to happen to E C U,s like that out of the blue so I hope you are right about
it being a wire mate !

But dont let it put you off like what else could go wrong

Was coming up to Edgeworthstown round-about from the Longford side and a Golf that was front of us jammed on the brakes and so did I. Stud kept sliding so I went into the hard shoulder lane and just as I thought we were in the clear, the Golf then also pulled in the hard shoulder as he ended up in the same situation as us and hit the drivers wing and Stud then bounced into a crash barrier thing on the passenger side. Kenneth, (Kenneth's sister) Amy, Blackbean and myself were in Stud and everyone came out fine. I was a bit shook up so after waiting an hour and a half for the Gards to arrive on scene (by the way, thanks again to Dan Garry who stopped to check on us) Kenneth drove the rest of the way to Wexford. We made it anyway after buying two bulbs. We got stopped in Carlow town by an under cover Gard and he searched us and walked up to the front of the destroyed front of Stud, put his two hands on the bonnet and say 'weres your tax!'

Two headlight bulbs hanging over the indicators and he didn't say and word to us!
Billy, I was driving the car.
Thank you to everyone for checking up on us!

Appreciate it!
MiniIreland, I'm getting sick of reading your stupit comments you know I don't want to be reading. F**k of and try to be nice for a change.

That sucks stan, it does look repairable though providing its only panel damage and shouldnt cost too much if you can find someone to help you repair it. I have a front bumper that I dont need so you can have it.
If you can change the front tires at least to a539 yokos they are much better for braking in wet or greasy conditions.

I think they are Yoko's on him, not sure tho. It's only panel damage and I forgot to say thank you Mr. Murphy for the loan of the Starlet.

Ease up Simon. Give the lad a break. He's had enough to get him down lately and this forum is meant to be somewhere to come to get help. The help he needs right now on here is a bit of encoragment. I'm sure he's not as good driver as you but we all have to start somewhere.
I know you don't mean any harm by it and your only having a joke but Stan clearly isn't seeing the funny side of it...
Stan- Keep up face. Kenneth will sort the car out for you and you'll be back driving her in no time. Maybe take the driving a bit handy until you get a bit more experiance.

Wise words. It takes a while to build the reaction that gets your brake foot working like an anti lock brake system.
Best of luck with the repairs Stan. Glad no-one was hurt.
