Jeremy in Malta took more photos of this "pickup". Can you imagine finding one on top of a skip in Ireland?

HI Flamenco,

Welcome to the IMOC site. Saw you on the pickup forum. Does the blue pickup need much work? We in Ireland are jealous of all those lovely Minis in Malta.

Good luck with your project,

Billy

hi billy,

well it does need some work actually. The areas that need most work are the dirver's side rear arch and the passenger's side sill which needs replacing. The floorboards look good, no visible holes. And the bonnet obviously. But I have one which I took from a woody traveller which I bought last summer which was too far gone to be saved!

It has only been on that skip since last saturday. It used to start and run some time ago, so it shouldn't be so difficult getting it back on the road again!

Jeremy :)

Is it a converted van Jeremy?

yep, definately not an original pick up. Normal pick ups have smooth roofs, this one has the van roof (with that corrugated shape). But looks a tidy conversion, so I thought it would still be worth saving! I can still transport mini engines and subframes with it
