Buyer beware. Looks like a mid-90s Mayfair on an old plate. Reg 922 KZI.

How do you get an NCT if the chassis no doesn't match?

This man is looking for a 70s logbook. I assume it's to frame and hang on his wall. Googling his number gives his name.

I completely understand that selling rung cars is wrong and dont agree with it.

However im more open to the idea of using a 70s reg solely for tax purposes. Its a absoloute joke that it costs 340 yoyo to tax a mini.

AFAIK the vintage road tax currently kicks in at 30 years, so that's 1987. NCT required from 1980 on.

Still nearly 15 years of mini production falling into the regular tax system at the moment.
Nothing you can do about it but it is crazy money to tax a car that may only get a few hundred miles a year.

couldn't agree with you more. the last couple of years i've been taxing mine ('93) April to October - but there are many, many days in winter i wish i could drive it.

How you run your own car is a matter of risk you choose to take with the authorities, however selling such a car to an innocent third party is what we like to highlight here.

Ad heading says 1966 and the first line of discription says 1996.
Even he can't decide what year it is.

Aparently there's a build thread on here about it?

It may just be a Donedeal typo?

A lot of talk lately on facebook about Landrovers and Range Rovers from the 90s and newer being put on ZV plates etc. It's unfortunately the same with Minis. A Mini that was discussed here before with a reg from an earlier car, 922KZI, has turned up again on Adverts. The lad selling it claims it's a 1980 Mini and that he bought it from a seller in Carlow.

For anyone not familiar with the different versions of Minis produced over the years and you're thinking of buying one, be sure to bring someone with experience along for advice. The lad currently selling 922KZI is finding that he can't offload the car as too many people are calling it out as a ringer.
