When driving from Dublin to Wexford the weekend before last in my mini, I was flashed at by a car behind and gestured at to pull in (that's cutting a long story short -- actually the poor man was following us for ages, trying to get our attention) -- I, of course, was sure there was something wrong with the car and was imagining flames coming out of it. but actually he was the original owner of my car! He & his wife had owned it in 1990, and sold it a couple of years later when they had twin babies. he had the twins with him -- they are about ten now, so all three of them had a quick sit in the car and a look around it.

It was so nice to meet them, and I think it was nice for the former owner to see the car again still driving around and in good condition!

John and Fiona Brady used to be the club. John bought Fiona a Sidewalk or Studio2 (I think) when they got married. They kept it for a few years until a pair of twins turned up. IT might have been them that followed you. DaveC might be able to confirm.

You have me thinking there, but I think that was a 1996 Mini, and I don't think their twins would be 10 yet.

Helen has a Mini Thirty which I don't think John or Fiona had

I do indeed have a mini 30. The previous owners bought it in 1989 & registered it in early 1990. I think they were based around Wexford?

Was doing a wedding today in Carrignavar, Co. Cork and spotted a very nice white/black Mini with blue number plates with an IMOC club sticker on the windscreen. I got chatting to the owner and gave him one of our new club cards.

Ya Pat, Woody has got a club business card produced which will be distributed out to all members so you can pass them on when you find someone with a Mini in your area. Don't have exact details but I'm sure they should be going out soon.

Spotted a very unusual colour '94 D Mini coming towards Mallow from the Killarney direction this morning. It was a greyish colour with a white rood, not unlike Mike Dennehy's Cooper S but obviously 30 years newer.

Don't mind the sunvisor. If you look at the door, you'll see it's got external hinges but has wind-up windows!!
