Finally a Nancy update!

He got the engine from someone over on E30owners.com, I posted a thread up for him and 30mins later there was an engine.

like the bro said, got it from a lad on e30's in dublin , sound chap...
basicly have all i need there for the engine besides driveshafts, these shall have to be made whenever i get it fitted into the subframe..
gonna try and squeeze it into the original mini subframe which shall be quite tight cuz of the width of the gearbox so will be needing a fair bit of modding...
im making a spit at the minute for the clubby estate, once thats up and running things should go alot faster, whenever i get p-d of wit the clubby il toddle over and see can i do something with the engine as i have a spare front subby...

nancy however is still hidden way

DMGT whered you get the swift gti??? is it the DOHC one ~ 120 hp?

iv been doing other cars and picked up another project which is parked outside the door (nancy is hidden away :P ) so wanna get it finished first and then bring nancy home...

Right since i'm back from Australia I got Nancy home there yesterday, first time its been at the house since i owned it... Since this is now the only mini I own and have a bit of free time I have decided to just keep working at it untill i jet off again.
Had a good look at it and gave it a bit of a clean earlier on after it sat in a hay shed for the past year or so..
Chuffed how well the shell held out since i never got round to painting it at all really.
The roof is the worst but hopefully its just surface rust.
I'll take some pics tommorow in day light..

I've made kind of a competition of it with my brother who is restoring his E30 touring for too long now so this might give him a kick up the ass to get the finger out too

Ah, the 1 litre turbo engine is long sold but am on the lookout for a crashed Aygo,c1,107 1 litre 3 cylinder engine, seems like a decent swap.. so if anyone knows of any let me know please.

-good economy
-same power as stock cooper
-complete engine/ancillaries weigh half that of a mini engine at 69 kg's
-toyota reliability
-sure why not ...

more to come....

decided to blank out the side indicators..

just used tape to cover the indicator hole stuck the piece i had made up onto it and put two quick tacks on from inside of wing and then a few tacks on the outside and grinded smooth..
not bothered welding the whole lot up as some way down the line (nct) they might have to go on again..
