Just a reminder, the Eastern Region Monthly Meeting is reverting to the Clonsilla Inn as and from the 10th August 2008, the proposed format will be a short meeting to determine the following months activities (Autojumble), a chance for a bite to eat, to be followed by a mystery run.

We will be there from 12 noon, hope to start the run for 1:30pm. See you all there.

May have a pass for this after all. The only problem is that all the Cork, Kilkenny, and Kildare hurling and football fans are heading to Croke Park tomorrow and the N7 will be thronged going up and coming back.

7.17am here in Ballyhooly and not a cloud in the sky. Looks good for travelling. All I have to do is cook 8 breakfasts (we run a B&B) and my pass is valid.

Hope to see a few familiar (and a few new) faces at the Clonsilla Inn at 12 noon today.

Are you home yet? Is the 24hr pass still valid? Hope you enjoyed you visit to the Monthly ER meeting? It was great to see you, but I never belived ZacGT that you had penchant for alighting from your Mini every time the convoy stopped, until I saw you jumping out of the Cooper at the first time we pulled in to allow stragglers to catch up with us after our first turn left,  .

Got home at 12.50am this morning. The intermittent missing and stuttering problem started up badly again after the spuds in Maynooth (no reflection on the spuds). On the M7 I limped at 25mph as far as Monasterevin and pulled in to sort it. The problem was a loose wire onto the coil and a squeeze with a pliers did the trick. A loose fuse then meant the brakes stopped working so I pulled in to tighten that to find that while trying to tighten one fuse I had dislodged the fuse for the wipers, indicators and fuel guage. That meant yet another quick stop.

At 11pm I couldn't believe the amount of Cork-reg cars approaching Portlaoise after the 2 matches so I made for Limerick and out the Waterford road and then south for Mitchelstown.

Was pretty knackered by the time I got home but actually enjoyed the spin once I knew the miss was sorted.

Well done to those who braved the floods yesterday. Very smart of Woody to bring us to within sight of Drogheda and then tell us that was the end of the run and he was off home now, or words to that effect!

Joe,

Let Simon know the correct venue and he'll change it.
