LAME run.

Post by kerryminigringo »

As the MICKS bog round is not going to go ahead til later in the year and as the Eastern region has been a little quite of late,I,ve decided to organise a little run around North Dublin to get the mini,s out and about. It will be on Sunday the 7th of October.Gathering will be at Clonsilla Inn between 11 and 11.30.I will be in contact with Simon to get this up on the events page.

I was told about this place last week and decided to go there today to see if it would be a nice place to visit on the run but it will be closed for the winter season by the time this run takes place but it is definitely someplace that we should visit when it re-opens next year. They would do soup and sambos or maybe more if the numbers where big enough(bbq??) so maybe this would be the ideal place to go on a run with the Austin Healey club next. http://www.beaulieu.ie

Just in case ye think that LAME(Louth Area Mini Enthusiast) is a minory group, here are a few pictures I took today of my friend Johnny Mc Kenna,s MKI that he hopes to have on the road in a week or two.He also has an Irish built Elf with a 1380 engine.

Billy I would just like to point out that the van was in the shed since late 68 so anyone who drove the Sneem/Waterville road passed it and there were plenty of lads that could have talked to Mike Maloney at the easter show when he was sitting in his Riley Elf but were to busy so I have no pity for ye.And there was no way I,d tell ye boys down south were it was,we all know what ye are capable of  But you can always take Micheal O Leary,s finest across the pond and get one and yes we visited the van on the run today.I,m expecting some indepth comments from TMG when he returns home.
