I have just e-mailed my mate about this because he wanted to do the same thing but with a TR6, he done it so there must be a way.

Thinking about it I think the only thing you would have to do is change the drive shaft out put flange to suit a centralised wheel nut on the front stub, if you know what I mean. I have found a kit for a jag with the same principles involved. that’s for the front, the rear on the other hand my be a little more tricky unless any of the of mg's had rear drums roughly the same size as a mini because they had a centralised hub nut for wire wheels if I remember rightly. but im shore it's allot easier then I looks it's just a pain to get the right parts.

Why would u want wire wheels anyway? yeah they look good but they are a right nightmare to keep clean

thats the pair for the jag:

I think Force racing used to do a spin-off hub attachment for racing Minis.

wire wheels

Post by 66mini »

A friend of mine fitted wire wheels to a Triumph Spitfire. They were 4 inch Pcd on a 13 rim. It was not spin off but the cap made it look like a spinoff
Of i recall they were Chrome finish .Any help
