Anyone know the backstory to this mini currently for sale?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any information on an '85 mini currently for sale on DoneDeal? https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/c ... n/28310027

It appears to have been owned by a member of this club at some point (it took part in the 2013 M2M).

The current owner has only had it for 12 months and didn't know much about it's backstory.

Just keen to understand bodywork history and background to the engine transplant.

Any help appreciated

I don't know anything about the car personally but looking at the invoice I would think its been lying up for a while and probably bought as a non runner if he only has it 12 months. Is it a Irish re-reg or a uk import? Work may have been done in the uk.

It would be worth doing a history check if he can send you a picture of chassis plate, stamp in scuttle panel and log book.
