hey guys iv just returned from my 3 month working holiday experience and am in search of someone who can do a head skim around the Co. Cavan area.. anyone know of one??

I don't know if he is the closest to you , but I have had work done by Drew Armstrong of Lakeland Engine Spares in Tempo, outside Enniskillen Co Fermanagh.

thanks for your response marcos. but as i havent been on the site 4 a bit i found a place in carrickmacross, McArdle Eng.

he did the head skim 4 €50 and gave me a full set of cylinder gaskets 4 €30...

pricey enough i thought 4 da gaskets but the skim was of proper quality... im pleased :)

If it's a genuine set for a 1275 it's about right, but at the other end of the scale a spurious set for a 998 costs about half that.
