I'm going looking at a mpi mini tomorrow with the intention of charging the running gear into my van. Is a link to the conversion any where. Be interested to see

I don't have a link but I did set up the MPi engine Simon is running in the clubman estate. Thats on a carb with Megajolt ignition. If your keeping the injection Joe Conboy has done at least two SPi estates so can tell you how to set up the fuel tank and pump. The SRS system has a deperate loom so you don't have to fit that if you like. The only big issue I can think of is if keeping the original van grille the fan normally fits in front of the front mounted rad.

Re: Anyone a link to putting in an mpi engine to older car
As I had mentioned to you, JP, Andy McPhail's red woody estate was the inspiration for my Clubby Mpi conversion. His car project featured in MiniWorld years ago. Joe Whyte and I both placed the rad in the front of the engine using the original MPi subframe as it has a bottom bracket for the rad but Andy McPhail fitted an upgraded side rad as he converted a clubby into a round nose. I'll find out which edition of MiniWorld his car features in and I'll let you know.
