Got the route sorted today.
Starting Point - M3 Parkway Park & Ride car park just off the M3 at Dunboyne. Meeting at 11:30am leaving there at 12:00 midday. The route is approx. 120 miles - so full tank of petrol and empty bladder.

Stage 1 - We will head initially towards Maynooth, Kilcock, Summerhill, Rathmolyon, Ballivor, Raharney and into Killucan,
Then we will be turning up towards the towns of Cloghan, Monilea and into Castlepollard (an old haunt of the IMOC) and we will be stopping a little bit up the road in the village of Fore at around 13.30pm. Fore is famous for its 7 Wonders - the best being St.Feichin's Abbey (kids can take this as their communion name as it is a saint!). We expect to be spending 20mins here looking around prior to re-group.

Stage 2 - We leave Fore at 14.00 heading to the Loughcrew estate for the lunch stop. It is only 10 miles up the road, it has a good sized car park, and a nice small cafe on site for light lunch or bring your own picnic. Entrance to the Gardens is being negotiated.

Stage 3 - Departing Loughcrew to Kells at 15:00pm, stopping at the Spire of Lloyd (the Kells lighthouse). We leave Kells and head across to Slane, stopping at the viewing point across the bridge and slightly up the hill on the way to Dublin.

Stage 4 - Departing at approx. 15.30pm from the viewing point in Slane returning back to the Dunboyne Park n Ride via Ratoath village and Fairyhouse.

I have given an overview of places and approximate times of arrival and departure, so hopefully anybody who cannot make all of the run, can meet up with us along the way. In addition, people who need to get home sooner can drop off the route and use the M3 or N2 if they wish.

Hope to see you and your mins out on the road next Sunday after a long winter break.
