main bearings 1275

hi all heres an engine number 12h9966aa105834 for a 1275 i need to find out what mainbearings are fitted to it i got some from minispares with a crankshaft and bigends.the bigends are ok but the mains have the tab in the center mine need to be on the side to fit the cap. thanks ger

There are different bearings for A and A+ blocks, changes in late 1983, sound like you have ordered or been sent the wrong ones. What year is your engine ?

thats the thing i got the engine in 2003 from a chap who did some rallying with it but he passed away in 2010 i think its from about 1990 or 92 would the engine number not let you know

Is it Verto or non-Verto clutch ?

Engine is MG Metro '82 -'84.
