Hi guys . I recently got my mini resprayed and am now putting it back together . I had to replace the boot door and hindges . I bought cheap chrome hindges from Huddersfield spares . Tonight when we fit the boot lid the shut lines are all off . Would the hindges have an effect on this ? Has any one any tips on how to fit correctly . Any help Is really appreciated .
Also it will not close with the new boot seal .

The hinges shouldn't be an issue.I presume you replaced the boot lid due to rust or crash damage so I'm wondering if you had to replace the hinge panel or boot floor also, these could be misalined . Is the new boot lid heritage or cheaper copy? You can bend the boot lid to match the hole.

Thanks for your comment . Yes there was a bit of work to boot floor . It's a genuine boot lid but not the original for the car . I have got the shut lines fairly good but when I put on seal there's a good gap in the top .

Is the seal brand new?
New ones are usually thicker than the originals and can have this affect.
