RDS Classic Car Show - March 5-6 2016

The IMOC applied for and were granted a stand when entries were sought last year.As this will be the last RDS Classic car show held before the IMM comes to Ireland being a bi-annual show,the committee felt it was a great way of promoting the fact that the largest gathering of Minis ever held in this country will be at IMM 2017 along with the diverse range of Minis in the Club.We have contacted a number of members from around the Club and will be announcing the details of the cars that will be on the stand this year at the weekend.Given that we only have a 6mt by 8mt stand the most we will be able to accommodate is 4 and we hope that members will understand why we have picked the 4 when they see the line up.We will also be looking for members to help man the stand and answer any questions about the Club and the IMM on the Saturday and Sunday.

Pick me pick me haha I'd love for my car to be on the stand

We might do a 16v theme the next time Jamie but seeing as this is the last RIAC show before the IMM we thought it would be a great way of promoting IMM 2017 so we decided to put an international flavour on our stand so the Minis we have chosen this time are
Brendan Cumiskeys Italian Innocenti 1300 Export Cooper,
Shay Martins Australian Clubman,
Joe Conboys South African 1275E Clubman,
Chris Greenes Irish 850 MKII.
As you can see these are all international Minis and we hope to tie this in with the IMM and we feel it is also a good spread of members from all over the country.

We have a much better stand this year,I spoke to people who attended the last one and they missed us in the corner.We have a good number of people willing to help out on both days but if any members still feel like popping along and manning the stand for a while and talking to show attendees and giving a bit of info about the Club and the IMM then please come along.It also means that it gives a break to those who are there already.Contact Aidan on 087 2309324 with any queries.

Thanks Joe but I think the real thanks should go to the members that put their cars on display and also to those that helped at the stand over the weekend answering questions about their cars and the Club.Also a special thanks must go to Neville and Stuart who brought along their cars at very short notice due to the size of the stand being bigger than anticipated.All in all a great weekend.
