Any ideas???

Is the fuel gauge working properly ,they share the same voltage regulator?
The test you did would sejest the sender unit was faulty so I'm just going to throw this one out there, are you definitly on the temperature sender and not the oil pressure warning switch?

The fuel gauge it working perfect not problems with that I'm not sure what you mean about the switch but there definitely a voltage sender in the block just to the right of it under the plugs that's what I changed and still no joy

You seem to have done everything right, the only thing I can think of is a bad connention at the spade at the end of the cable, thighten it up with a pliers or replace with a new one.
